Indoor tanning lotions are designed to stimulate melanin, bringing it to the surface of your skin to enhance your tan. Many are also designed to replace moisture and nutrients after a sunbed session.
Dry skin can reflect sunbed light, so if you are not using an indoor tanning lotion, you can be wasting up to 50% of your tanning session.
Think of it this way:
Dry skin is what color? It is white.
What does the color white do to light? It reflects it.
If you have white skin you will actually reflect a certain percentage of the UV light. But just by applying lotion, you will increase your tanning potential, making the most of each time you visit!
Bronzer: The nice thing about a bronzer is it gives you an instant tan, so you achieve that sun-kissed look immediately, and you continue to darken for hours after your session.
Maximizer: Accelerators and maximizers are great for beginning indoor tanners. They are formulated to help you quickly achieve a base tan, but normally don’t contain any added bronzers. They usually contain a large amount of moisturizers that allow the skin to tan more quickly and retain your color for a longer time.
Extender: Prolong the life of your tan with these after tan skin care products.
Face / Legs: Specified for enhanced color on your legs or the sensitive skin on your face.
Moisturizer: Always moisturize! Skin hydration and nourishment after your tanning session will also help extend the life of your tan.
